OUR STAFF:
Dr. Larry Perich was born and raised in Warren, Ohio. After Graduation from Warren Western Reserve High School, Dr. Perich Attended the University of Southern California. He completed his undergraduate studies Cum Laude with a major in Biochemistry and was awarded the Bachelor in Science Degree. Dr. Perich continued his education at the Chicago College of Osteopathy where he received the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Perich completed a Rotating Internship at Suncoast Hospital in Largo, Florida and participated in an Ophthalmic Basic Science Training Course at Herman Eye Center, University of Texas, Houston. He then went on to become Resident of Ophthalmology at Grand Rapids Osteopathic Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In practice since 1983, Dr. Perich has five medical eye centers. Two of which include well-appointed, State-of-the-Art surgical facilities. These two facilities are; the Perich Eye Center, located at 2020 Seven Springs Boulevard, New Port Richey, FL and the Perich Eye Center, located at 11809 North Dale Mabry, Tampa, Florida. His additional offices are located in Spring Hill, Zephyrhills and Ocala. Dr. Perich is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and holds Professional Memberships in the AOA, The American Academy of Ophthalmology and OCOO. Dr. Perich has had numerous awards bestowed upon him including a second-year award from Town and Country Medical Center for highest volume outpatient surgery performed. Recognized internationally as a leader in the field of excimer laser surgery, Dr. Perich is also a notable expert in no-stitch cataract surgery and the development of new multi-focal intra ocular lens implants and cosmetic laser procedures.
Dr. Shah received her Master of Surgery Ophthalmology at the University of Bombay, India (Equivalent to Board Certification in the US) in 1981, and received the honor certificate. She obtained her diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine and Surgery at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at the University of Bombay, India and received the Gold Medal as the candidate attaining the highest rank in the class. In addition to Dr. Shah’s work with the Perich Eye Center, she was a staff Ophthalmologist at Rowan Eye Center and St. Luke’s Cataract and Laser Institute. From 1993 to 1998 Dr. Shah was the founding Medical Director for the Chinmaya Eye Institute Project, a charitable eye clinic and surgical facility in Pune, India. From 1998 to 2004 Dr. Shah held the distinction of Medical Director and surgeon at the Chinmaya Eye Institute. Dr. Shah has been in practice with the Perich Eye Center since September 2005
